Electricians can learn to specialise in many areas such as domestic, new build, renovation, IT system installation and alarms. Rates of pay for electricians can vary according to skills and location up to £97 + VAT per hour.
Electricians also have huge flexibility in the hours they wish to work and the locations they wish to work in. Some electricians will work emergency work 24 hours a day (within a 30 minute radius) for 3 weeks and then take the fourth week off.
